I don't wanna say Lance Armstrong was one of my childhood heroes.  I never really cared about bike racing.  But, I did respect him.  Then all this crap started happening.  I started thinking about all the times one of my childhood heroes did something to lose respect in the public eye.  This is a short list I put together of the sports figures, movie stars, and other famous people I admired as a child.  By the way, these are all guys.  It's really depressing to think of what happened to a lot of them.  For others it's just sad that their reputation was been tarnished.

Barry Bonds- roids

Any decent A's player- left for some other team
Kobe Bryant- allegedly raped someone
Tiger Woods- had a lot of sex
James Bond- stopped being Pierce Brosnan
John Travolta- did Battlefield Earth, went insane
Tom Cruise- went insane
Mel Gibson- went insane
Charlie Sheen- became Charlie Sheen
Arnold Schwarzenegger- had a secret family/ became Republican governor
Chuck Norris- religious nut/ pro prop 8
Wesley Snipes- went to jail
Dennis Quaid- creepy botox face 2013
Adam Sandler- got old, also got old
Chris Farley- died
Michael Crichton- died
Dave Chapelle- dropped off the grid
Michael J. Fox- got the park
Clint Eastwood- crazy old man, empty chair speech
Val Kilmer- got fat
